Dear Friends,
Thank you for tuning in. We’ve just completed the first month of session and are looking forward to the next four. As always, you may contact my office with your views via phone (512-463-0661) or mail (P.O. Box 2910, Austin, TX 78768). Here is what we have been up to recently in Austin.
Update on the Proposed Housing Project
We have spent the past two weeks gathering input from the community about the proposed multifamily housing project on Spring Cypress Road, across from the neighborhood of Village Creek. This feedback has been overwhelmingly in opposition to the project due to concerns over increased traffic, overcrowding in schools, and the impact on county resources. Therefore, I will be writing a letter to TDHCA awarding the full value of my negative points towards this project. Thank you to those who took their time to voice their views to me. I appreciate feedback from my constituents and look forward to continuing to hear from you throughout my term.

Lonestar Community College Visits
Last week, delegations from Lonestar Community College came to the State Capitol for Community College Day. It was great to see so many students and to be able to host them in our office. They shared their educational experiences at their respective campuses to emphasize the important role that community colleges have in our communities. Additionally, we discussed a few of the issues facing higher education and our district.
