House Bill 3165 expands the opportunity for our young people with developmental disabilities to train for the workforce. The bill creates an associate’s degree program at Lone Star College-Tomball for students with disabilities that affect executive functioning, such as autism or Down Syndrome.
The lifePATH students in the same cohort take classes together for two years and can earn a certificate upon completing the program, or can continue taking courses on campus to earn college credit and eventually earn an associate’s degree.
